Mission

• to assist Nicaraguan individuals, families and communities in assessing and meeting their health care and lifestyle needs;
• to support and complement local partnership initiatives in health education, solar electrical, sanitation, and community health issues.

Felix & Angelica Almendarez

Following the mudslides of Hurricane Mitch Felix & Angelica gave up their normal lives to open an orphanage (Casa Hogar) in Chinandega. NFDVS was initially organized to support their work, and has expanded to include medical missions & solar lighting, sewing and  water filter projects in areas north of Chinandega.

Felix & Angelica are visiting Vernon in the fall of 2010 to find out where all those Canadians come from every year. This site is set up to provide a public events schedule which can be found  here.
